DAY 1 Chengdu Arrival

In the morning, our professional guide and driver will be waiting at your hotel in the city center, ready to start a fascinating journey. We drive to Dujiangyan, which takes about 1.5 hours, and along the way you can enjoy the idyllic scenery of Sichuan.

Upon arrival at Dujiangyan, the first thing that strikes you is this great 2,000-year-old irrigation system. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is famous for its remarkable design of diverting water without a dam. Here you can feel the wisdom and craftsmanship of the ancient Chinese people. Afterwards, you will visit the Erwang Temple in honor of Li Bing and his son, who built this irrigation system in 256 BC.

Next, we will drive to Qingcheng Mountain, the holy land of Taoism. You can experience the charm of Taoist culture here. Afterwards, you will enjoy a peaceful time by rafting on Yue Cheng Lake. Taking the Buyun Ropeway, you easily ascend to the top of the mountain and visit Shangqing Palace to learn the essence of Taoist philosophy.

Finally, we will head to the Laojun Pavilion, a nine-story structure standing 33 meters high, where you can overlook the magnificent panorama of Qingcheng Mountain and experience the magnificence and mystery of nature. At the end of the day, we will transfer you back to your hotel in the center of Chengdu to rest.

DAY 2 Chengdu

After breakfast, we will take you to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding to have a close contact with these lovely national treasures. Here you can observe their naive appearance and feel the magic of nature.

Afterwards, we will go to People's Park to experience the leisurely life of Chengdu citizens. You can sip tea, play chess, enjoy flowers and feel the slow pace of life in Chengdu. Then, we will head to the Wuhou Shrine to visit this shrine honoring Zhuge Liang, the prime minister of Shu Han during the Three Kingdoms period.

Finally, we will head to Jinli Ancient Street, one of the most representative ancient neighborhoods in Chengdu. Here, you can taste authentic Sichuan cuisine, buy exquisite handicrafts and experience the prosperity and charm of Chengdu.
