Humble Administrator's Garden
Humble Administrator's Garden, also in Suzhou, is another masterpiece of classical Chinese garden design. It dates back to the Ming Dynasty and covers a vast area divided into three main sections: the Eastern Garden, Central Garden, and Western Garden. The garden features a large pond with numerous pavilions, bridges, and islands that symbolize various themes from Chinese literature and art. The architecture and layout are meticulously planned to create a sense of harmony between man-made structures and natural landscapes. Walking through the garden, visitors encounter blooming flowers, ancient trees, and serene water surfaces that evoke a sense of peaceful contemplation and aesthetic pleasure.
